When vaporized, 8.8005g of the compound displaces 560.35 cm3 of air measured at 273.15K under 1 atm. (RAM of F = 18.998, molar volume of a gas at 273.15 K under 1 atm =22.414 dm3) a find the relative molecular mass of MFx b find value x c find RAM of M 2 A mixture of gases at 1.5x10^5 Nm^-2 has 40% NH3 60% H2 by volume. a Find partial pressure of each gas? b Partial pressure of H2 if ammonia is removed by the addition of some solid phosphorus(5) oxide?

最佳解答:

(1a) Using PV = nRT with P = 1.013 x 105, V = 5.6035 x 10-4, R = 8.314 and T = 273.15 n = 0.025 So molecular mass = 8.8005/0.025 = 352 (b) In 1 mole of the fluoride, mass of F = 352 x 32.4% = 114.1 x = 114.1/18.998 = 6 (approx.) (c) RAM of M = 352 - 18.998 x 6 = 238.0 (2a) Partial pressure of NH3 = 1.5 x 105 x 0.4 = 6 x 104 N/m2 Partial pressure of H2 = 1.5 x 105 x 0.6 = 9 x 104 N/m2 (b) Partial pressure of H2 remains unchanged even ammonia is removed, i.e. 9 x 104 N/m2
